Well, because I LOVE auditions so much (sarcasm) and I had a day off from them I decided, "What else better do I have to do than accompany my friend to her audition?"
I am at "The Voice" audition right now and NO! I am not auditioning. I'm being an Abby Lee Miller Dance Mom right now and am with my friend who is auditioning. The entire city of Chicago is here and I do not envy her at all!
They've already separated friends and family from the auditioners so I'm sitting in the basement of the McCormick place getting emails and more importantly frizz:frazz(ling) done! I have seen every personality and outfit under the sun. One guy covered himself in all different strips of fleece and fabric and wore a cape with sunglasses and a wizard hat. Another lady had about 17 different animal furs on.
Regardless of wardrobe choice, there are nerves everywhere.
Oh! And! The bathroom lines are clogged up because girls are using the stalls to sit and rehearse their songs.
If I hear Adele's "Someone Like You" one more time I might just go audition myself.
Now, that would make for some quality television.
