I am 21 years old. It's Friday night, and I am absolutely THRILLED to be on the couch in my pajamas watching TV and relaxing (with my brother home from Colorado!). Life of the party right here. Sorry I'm not sorry. My body is so exhausted from this week. I shouldn't be too hard on myself because it was a full day of ballet, modern, and pilates with some yoga teaching in there as well. I did create a wonderful new concoction: Swiss Miss Diet Hot Chocolate mixed with Coffee. IT'S FRIDAY NIGHT PEOPLE. Going all out.
Heading to Ballet Arizona's summer program audition on Sunday. Arizona in July sounds god awful to me, but I swore I was going to do any audition I could get to. So, here we go!
Everyone keeps asking about Portland. Here's the deal. There probably is no deal. They're touring in New York right now and from the looks of the website it seems as if there are plenty of girls in the company at the moment. And as far as a time frame goes for hearing back, I won't be getting an email or a call saying "thanks but no thanks". It usually works that you get a yes or...nothing. And to be completely honest, I'm okay with nothing right now. It was a great week and meeting the director was incredible and dancing with kids my age from all over is a lesson in and of itself. It was a perfect example of the type of environment I need to work in one day: supportive, challenging, positive, creative, down to earth, cutting edge. Everything happens for a reason and I am fortunate to be happy and content with dancing and training in Chicago. Getting a job in Chicago would obviously be a dream come true, but one day a time...one day at a time.
